Upcoming Closures!
The Newton Food Pantry will be closed on Wednesday, April 29 and Thursday, April 30.
Since the pandemic began, the number of client visits to the Newton Food Pantry and our home deliveries has tripled to over 10,800 per year. In addition, the number of individuals we serve has nearly doubled. Because of these increases in clients and related costs, our operating budget has more than quadrupled. Over 1,800 Newton residents in need rely on us right now.
And, we rely on the generosity of friends like you to continue serving our neighbors with dignity and compassion during the holidays.
This season, we will be distributing more grocery gift cards than ever before in our 39-year history. Gift cards allow families to purchase foods for the holidays that are of cultural and family significance. In addition, we will offer all clients holiday meal boxes loaded with hearty and nutritious foods. And, for the 13th consecutive year, throughout the month of December, clients can choose from a wide variety of items at our holiday gift table, organized by a dedicated Newton Food Pantry volunteer.
Please join us in supporting our neighbors in need this holiday season by making your donation today. Thank you for all you do for our community!
