2026 Honorees

We will celebrate some amazing Newton Food Pantry supporters:

Kelly Davidson, Amy Fournier Campbell, and Rachel Chiel Katz. Since the early days of the COVID pandemic, the Newton Food Pantry has featured the Teen Ambassador Program (TAP). This innovative youth leadership program was the brainchild of Kelly and Amy, two local moms and Newton Food Pantry volunteers who sought to teach local teens about civic engagement, activism, and hunger relief. Now led by Kelly and Rachel, the TAP program is a shining example of how young people can make a positive impact in their community.

Great Harvest Baking Co./owners Cheryl and Jim Cellucci. Great Harvest Baking Co. is a longtime Newton Food Pantry supporter. To the joy and benefit of thousands of Newton Food Pantry clients, Cheryl and Jim have donated countless loaves of their freshly baked bread to our pantry. Few food pantries can offer their clients freshly baked bread, and we are immensely grateful for Great Harvest’s ongoing support.

Temple Shalom. There is no food drive quite like the Temple Shalom High Holidays food drive! Each September, members of Temple Shalom donate bags upon bags of nonperishable foods and personal-care items to the Newton Food Pantry. The volume is so great each year that members of Shalom have to rent a UHaul truck to bring everything to our pantry. Temple Shalom was also one of the earliest supporters of our Newton Community freedge, and their dedication to fighting food insecurity throughout Newton remains incredible.
