Upcoming Closures!
The Newton Food Pantry will be closed on Wednesday, April 29 and Thursday, April 30.
This annual event will take place on Saturday, November 19th at Zervas Elementary School. Join the USATF-certified 5K course or the 1K Fun Run. Or, run your own virtual race during Thanksgiving week.
The goal of the Newton Turkey Trot is to create youth awareness about health, wellness and community service. To date, organizers have raised over $130,000 to support their goal! This is an amazing family event that brings together more than 1,000 community members each year.
This year the Newton Turkey Trot organizers are dedicating the race in honor of their dear friend, Tim O’Brien. Tim was one of the initial founding members of the Newton Turkey Trot, but unfortunately, he passed away the morning of the race last year. He was known throughout the Newton community as an amazing father, husband, friend and youth coach. In his memory, organizers will be providing CPR classes for the Newton Turkey Trot community and by placing a memorial bench along one of his favorite running routes.
