Once recovered, Stephen distributes the food on the same day from the refrigerated vehicle he drives to his nonprofit partners. Denise Daniels, Newton Food Pantry’s Pantry Manager, knows she can count on Stephen to thoughtfully recover, curate and deliver the healthy, fresh foods that clients expect each week. He understands the pantry’s demographics and needs, which in turn enables him to more effectively advocate with vendors. 

Spoonfuls operates nine food recovery routes across Eastern Massachusetts. They are the largest food recovery agency in New England by geography, pounds recovered and people served. With what Spoonfuls recovers, its community partners are able to feed more than 55,000 hungry neighbors each week.
