Luciano has spent more than 20 years driving economic development through collaborative community planning. He currently serves as the founding Executive Director of the Center for Economic and Social Justice (CESJ) at Roxbury Community College. The CESJ is focused on helping students achieve life-sustaining wages through career pathways and successful small business ownership. In addition, the CESJ drives systems change through strategic partnerships to eliminate barriers to equitable growth.
Luciano most recently served as Senior Director of Local Partnerships for the tech start-up Unite Us, which hosts ones of the largest networks of community-based health and economic services dedicated to improving whole-person health. There, he directed nationwide partnership strategies with United Ways and other community-based organizations working to build community infrastructure through healthcare and social services. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Programs and Integration at the United Way of South Hampton Roads (Norfolk, VA), where he directed community engagement with hundreds of partners and the annual investment of more than $12 million in human service programs.
He lives in Newton with his wife, Leandra, their high school-aged twins, and mini-Goldendoodle, Luna Liberty.
